This commission was based on a photo by Alicia Downing. It shows her daughter Sadie's special bond with her 4H animals, Dolly the calf and Norman the goat. I fell in love with the image when she first asked if I would draw the commission. Something about the light, composition, and subject reminded me of a modern take on the works of the Dutch Masters.
