This drawing was commissioned as a gift for my client's friend, Ali, who experienced a back injury that prohibits her from riding.

The original photo of Ali competing was taken by accomplished equine photographer, Howard Schatzberg (howardschatzbergphoto.com), and reproduced as a drawing with his permission.

Completed on cradled Ampersand Claybord panel. The edges of the cradled panel were painted, the surface varnished, and the back prepared to hang without framing, for a clean modern look. Unlike works on paper, no protective glass is required.
